Forests, are an important natural resource in Old Saybrook.  They provide habitat, shade, help protect water quality and are an important visual component of our town's landscape and outdoor recreational areas.  Many of the plants and animals native to this area require forest habitats - from large core forests to forest-field edges - to survive.
